Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink.
Inside the water tunnel fountain.
(Near the Ak Orda, Astana, Kazakhstan)
Seems like a very strange contraption but then you are living in a very different world…Thanks for sharing your highlights of Kazakhstan!
It’s a long perspex style tunnel, with water cascading down the outside…. amazing to walk through – I really love it…. feels cool and ethereal.
Wow – in Sydney we’re used to water being in the open air, fountain-like but I guess you get a sense of calm walking within it rather than just noise and splash. Interesting how water can be different if harnessed in different ways.
Astana is also filled with wonderful ‘traditional’ fountains….. I’ll include photos in coming weeks
Nellie is a little frightened of them at present…. so it’s quite hard to take her photo near them (even with the mobile phone)
Sweet – look forward to the photos 🙂
very cool photo!
