Skye Terriers (like Nellie – our lovely haggis pudding) are thought to be the oldest of the gorgeous Scottish Terrier breeds, recorded even in the 14th century.
They may be drop eared or prick eared.
They are the ancestors of today’s Skye Terriers, Scottish Terriers, Cairn Terriers, West White Highland Terriers and Dandie Dinmond Terriers.
Please enjoy this lovely selection of photographs from the 19th through into the 20th century: celebrating Skye Terriers and our human love for all dog breeds.

I know that Royalty has had their Corgis and their Dachshunds. I have a Sweetie, Girl, Sophie, that is a Dorgi! Her mother was a Corgi and her Sire was a very determined Dachshund that dug under the fence! She is such a sweet baby! Her left ear always hangs down and her right ear always stands up! What a great dog!
she sounds gorgeous Sonya
would love to add Sophie to Nellie’s Woofer Pals page (see top menu)
would you like to send us a couple of photos and a line or two about Sophie’s favourite/least favourite activities?
I’ll send a message to your century link address.
